BIO

Miles Wide is an acoustic rock band based in Denver, CO. Their latest release, The Kindness of Strangers, has been well-received by local and national publications alike, including Marquee Magzine and American Songwriter Magazine. On the EP, frontman Kyle Donovan's "absolutely astounding vocal range" takes the spotlight, flanked by "spare, acoustic, [and] infectious" instrumentation. Released February 23, 2016 its tone reflects Donovan's 2015 tour from New York to L.A. - inspired by the good will and generosity of those he met along the way. The group has played dozens of shows along the front range of Colorado, from house concerts in the heart of Denver to mountain-town romps throughout the Rockies.

Press

"With an absolutely astounding vocal range, Miles Wide singer Kyle Donovan sounds like the long lost love-child of Carly Simon and Art Garfunkel."
Brian F. Johnson - Marquee Magazine
"Right from the beginning, you feel as if you are in the room with the three-piece. The acoustics on the EP are incredible, but not quite as incredible as the songwriting and lyricism."
Shannon Shumaker - The Prelude Press
"Spare, acoustic, infectious."
Sam O'Daniel - Your Older Brother
"Kyle's raw, velvety vocal range carries you alongside his strumming melodies and honest lyrics. His intonations are so clear, you feel like he's in your living room."
Hannah Oreskovich - Bolderbeat.com
"There is a crystal clarity to Donovan's voice that is both poignant and transcendent... His music straddles something between balladic folk songs and gritty acoustic rock: think part Nickel Creek, part Fleet Foxes, with a dab of moodiness reminiscent of Drive-By Truckers."
Kaely Monahan - Phoenix East Valley Tribune
"Earthly strums lay the foundation for Miles Wide's tunes, but it's Donovan's evolving vocals that set the tone of each number."
Kat McReynolds - Asheville Mountain Xpress
"Donovan sounds down right comfortable performing his signature tune, "Moon Howls," the album's best track. His vocal inflections bring to mind a certain pop vibe that makes it sound so sweet to the ear."
Roman Divezur  - Rochester
CITY Newspaper

"His lyrics are introspective,
deep, and sung with conviction."
Ted Rogen - The Equal Ground
"Phenomenal. Phenomenal. Phenomenal."
Jared 'Warbux' Schonleber

90.5 FM WBER
"...Donovan's voice [is] an emotive yet understated instrument that conveys yearning and reflection, a touch of melancholy, and a sense of growing possibilities..."
